Koh Phangan island gained its fame from the world renowned Full Moon Party which is held once a month on Haad Rin Beach and attracts thousands of visitors.

In recent years Koh Phangan has grown in reputation for being a paradise getaway for families and couples as well as young people thanks to the diversity of the island as a whole.

Phangan offers something for everyone and has all of the services a visitor would require during a visit even though it is less developed than its neighbour Koh Samui.

There are hospitals with good facilities that can care for you if you are sick or injured, most can be done here although bigger operations or things such as CT scans will be referred to Samui, for Koh Phangan needs the hospitals are equipped to deal with the most common ailments though so don't worry.

Hospitals accept travel insurance however be prepared that if you don't have any you will need to pay the bill.

If you have an animal rather than a human who is sick or injured there are also vets here to deal with that also! Be aware that PACS (Phangan Animal Care for Strays) only treats STRAY sick or injured animals and not owned pets, please use their services only for strays.

The vets on the island have grown in number and can be found mostly in Baan Tai and Thong Sala.

For those with children long term here there is an international school, Si Ri Panya in Baan Tai which follows the English curriculum and you can also enquire about your kids attending the Thai schools if that is what you would like instead.

There are many expats now living and working on Koh Phangan. You will find houses for rent and sale easilly, also land to buy to build your own house or business and lawyers services to help with these arrangements too, real estate is also listed here in our Phanganist Services section.

For a humble life on paradise island you can be sure that all your needs are met on our little island of Koh Phangan!
