With the potential for flash flooding in certain regions, consistent rainfall is forecast across Thailand this week. A weather advisory was released by the Thai Meteorological Department claiming that an active low pressure system is expected to develop a depression in the South China Sea and will travel to the upper Gulf of Thailand by Friday. The department says that in the North and Northeast states, anyone in dangerous areas should warn of extreme weather.

According to the department, further intense rain is forecast in the southern province as a southwest monsoon through the Andaman Sea, southern Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand intensifies from Tuesday to Friday. Waves are expected to be high in both the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand, hitting 2 to 4 meters tall and over 4 meters tall during thunderstorms.

Ships can continue throughout the week with care and keep away from thundershowers. Tiny boats are advised by the department to be docked before Sunday when the rain and wind let up.
