Originally from the mainland, Surat Thani, Boyonic first heard about Koh Phangan from friends and came straight away at the end of 1998. He has lived here ever since. “Music made me stay, the Phangan style and the feeling here, it’s lovely.

Where on Koh Phangan have you played and how was it?
I first played at Backyard the Full Moon after party, then Black Moon, Half Moon, Sramanora, Full Moon and many more. One in particular that I love is Backyard, I have learnt a lot about how to Dj from there.

What do you think about Koh Phangan's music and party scene?
It is growing in a good way, keeping itself proper underground and good for the new generation.

What do you feel you have brought to the Phangan scene?
Something new, I like to keep the Koh Phangan rhythm. I don’t change the system but bring new sounds.

What genres do you play?
Progressive house, Tech house and Techno

What are your current and future projects?
I’m working for Magic Phangan Record Label and making tracks. It is one of freshest labels on the island, they do many different projects with music from psy trance and tech house and techno. Other Dj’s on the label are Dj Leung who is the owner, Dj Note, Danny Apnea, Jo Moontribe and Psyfrog.

How do you spend your free time on the island?
Mostly finding good tracks and working on music, driving around and getting the first fresh breeze on the beach. My favourite places are around the West side of the island, I like to feel and see the sunset. Especially at the top of Haad Yao which is a very beautiful sunset side.

How did you get to where you are today?
I have tried so hard to work for my work and respect it to become what I am now. I have had to work very hard to be here today, now if people like my work they will book me.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I will be still making good tracks with people and doing my music. I would like to have my own hostel in the future, it’s going to have the focus on good quality music for the warm up parties and of course a good service for all hostel people and travellers.

What is your life philosophy?
Be honest with what you do.
