Opened 1997 HAAD YAO DIVERS was the first Dive Center on the west coast of Koh Phangan and one of the island's pioneers. At that time Koh Phangan was famous for its Fullmoon Parties on Haadrin beach but unknown for the beauty of its unspoiled reefs. Unlike its sister islands Koh Samui and Koh Tao, Koh Phangan is still unknown for divers, even though the most famous divesites like Sailrock and Angthong National Marinepark are nearest to Koh Phan-gan. Divers benefit from shorter journey times and being first to arrive at the sites.
Haad Yao Divers started as a small operation on Haad Yao beach with only one PADI Instructor and Divemaster. Today they are a PADI awarded 5 Star Instructor Development Dive Resort with an international team of enthusiastic and highly qualified PADI Instructors and Dive Masters from England, France, Switzerland and Germany. They are known to go out of their way to make every dive a safe and enjoyable experience. It's this friendly, personal service that has become a hallmark of Haad Yao Divers.
The school still belongs to the smaller dive operators on the island which deal in quality rather than quantity and knows its divers by name. Run by European management and committed to western quality and high standards.

Begginer Courses:
For those who are unsure, whether the underwater world is suited to them, this Introductory Dive is a safe way to experience the unique feeling of scuba diving in our beautiful oceans and seas.
After a short theory session in which the necessary basics of diving are explained, one of the PADI Instructors will take you first into shallow water to practice and get comfortable with the equipment and then guide you on your first real divPADI
No time for a full course, no problem! The PADI Scuba Diver Program is a pre-entry level certification that is perfect for vacationers.
Within two days you will complete half of the Open Water Diver Course and will receive a certification. With this limited certification you are allowed to dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters with a PADI Professional anywhere in the world. You will be able to complete the remaining half of the PADI Open Water Course at any PADI diving school worldwide, at any time after this course.
By far the most popular scuba diving certification in the world. With your PADI Open Water License you can enjoy the beauty of the ocean wherever you are in the world.
The course is constructed in such a way that the necessary skills are taught thoroughly in a gradual and relaxed manner. No more than four student divers per instructor.
Four-day PADI Open Water Course consists of three parts:
1. THEORY SESSION
* Meet your instructor, video, manual, test
2. SHALLOW WATER TRAINING
♦ Five sessions at our house reef (or swimming pool at bad weather conditions)
♦ Shallow water dives
3. OPEN WATER DIVES
♦ Two dives from a longtailboat or diving boat (West Coast Koh Phangan)

♦ Two dives from diving boat (day trip to Sailrock, Marine Park or Koh Tao),
Maximum depth 18 meter
After finishing your Open Water Course you can move straight onto the PADI Advanced Open Water Course. The course is an extension of the skills you developed during the Open Water Course.
This practical three day course gives you the experience of diving at depth and increases your level of diving competence. The Advanced Open Water Certification allows you to dive more divesites globally, the only limit is you!

The perfect choice for those who want to improve their scuba diving skills but don’t have much time on holiday.
Consisting of any three Adventure Dives (see Advanced Open Water Course) you can complete this certification in as little as a day, making it a perfect and immediate follow up to the PADI Open Water Course.
You can complete another two adventure dives at any other time to gain the full PADI Advanced Open Water Certification.
