You know where you want to go, but do you know when? Check out our guide below, and remember: Seasons come and go, but you can always #ChaiyoWithLEO ?
Quick note: It may vary every year, but the following is a pretty good rule of thumb. Choose wisely. Have fun.
THE HOT SEASON (March–May)
Sunnies on, fruits out ? It’s the summer of your dreams, topped off with the famous Songkran spirit throughout April. It’s all fun and games… Until the heat intensifies by the day. ?
Fair warning: Thailand can get seriously hot around this time. Though we think it’s part of the charm! Depending on you, this could even be considered ideal—especially if your Thailand bucket list includes island hopping and the like. Just bring out the tank tops, sunscreen, & flip flops! ?
Visit:
? Koh Phangan
? Koh Tao
? Krabi
⛈ THE MONSOON SEASON (June–October) ⛈
Ah, heavy rain and rough seas... Sounds like a plan if all you wanna do is get non-stop Thai massage and pig out on Thai food. ?
The country is usually less crowded, but the catch is you always have to carry a sturdy umbrella and a rain coat. So much for that tropical look you planned.?

? Bangkok
? THE COOL SEASON (November–February) ?
Enjoy a sunny day out minus the drippin’ sweat. It can get pretty chilly (based on tropical standards at least). There might even be a week or two when you have to cover up due to a cold snap.
This season seems to draw in a lot of—if not the most—visitors. While we won’t blame you for choosing to go during this time, a trip to Thailand is not quite the same without battling against the heat while exploring. Just sayin’ ?
