Dj Piem is visiting Koh Phangan for the first time so lets all make him feel right at home and give him a warm welcome from us at Phanganist!

How long have you been a DJ?
I started when I was 15 years old in small local clubs in Barcelona they were good times!

Where does your knowledge and experience comes from? How did it emerge?
In 1998, a good friend of mine gave me a Cd compilation of Pacha Ibiza mixed by Dj Pippi, which was when I decided what I was going to do for the next few years and maybe my whole life. After this, I met and joined some big Djs from Barcelona and started buying music and practicing on the decks until I got my first gig. Since that day, I have never stopped doing what I love!

What genres of music do you play?
I don’t usually fix just on one genre, and I don’t care if it’s deep, house or techno, just good music.

Where have you played before and how was it?
During this year, I have played in lots of countries and cities, also my residencies in Barcelona. I’ve been in Miami, Dubai, Casablanca, Marrakech, Ibiza, and a few more. I always have a really good time, I love my job!

What do you feel you can bring to the Phangan music scene?
I have never played in Phangan before and I have got a good feeling about the Jungle experience event. I’ve heard some really good feedback before and I think that on the 28th it will be massive!
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I’m not sure because I don't like to plan too much, but I am sure I'm going to be doing something related with the music business, also started a new streaming project but can explain too much yet.
What is your life philosophy?
Live and let live. Don’t plan too much and always try to go the best way, if you chose a wrong one smile and try it again!
