So, as some of you may know I had a pretty crazy adventure, twice, to Malaysia but I am back in full force! Back at Phanganist HQ and safely back on board the Star Lab Industries space ship with Christopher Thomas and the two dogs! (Oh and the nine puppies at Phanganist of course!)

Although the journey to Malaysia is always a bit of a trek I decided I would try to make the most of my time in Penang, as I was there for two whole days. What better for Bry0 to do than find a spot to paint!

I was walking along Chulia street when I spotted a piece by Codefc, there was a bunch of men chilling, drinking whisky and eating chicken feet in this car park so I thought, what the hell, I will go ask them if I can do a quick piece?!

These guys were so friendly, welcomed me, offered me a drink and food and said 'yes! Of course! It is good for us as it makes the car park better!', so this is how it started.

It wasn't hard to find paint and although it still is not as good as what we are used to back in Europe, it was actually better than the stuff from Koh Phangan. The actual wall was quite porous though so I decided to do the white with emulsion because otherwise the spray paint just soaks into the wall.

It was really fun, as it always is painting. I just did a big throw up of my heart with wings and chicken legs (very relevant) character but it was a warm day, the car park crew were supplying the food (sometimes a bit weird) and whisky was on plentiful supply although I stayed away from it until towards the end of the piece.

A few people stopped by to see what I was up to which was really lovely and when I was just about finished a nice family came over with their children who I spoke to for a while, they asked to have a picture taken with me and the painting which always warms my cockles!

There is quite a bit of street art in Penang, you should do a little tour of it next time you do a visa run! I was speaking to Codefc the other day and he told me there is a woman who arranges all of the walls, gets permission for bigger more complex murals so I think Christopher Thomas and I will be getting in touch with her if we ever go to Penang together so we can do something really special.

It was a really good time in fact. I ate some amazing indian food, met some great people and learnt a lot about the deep history that Penang has, I had no idea it used to be part of the British Colony?!

I will be doing some articles on some other things I got up to in Penang shortly, once the Phanganist puppies have stopped running around every where and we fix all of our 'Technical Difficulties'. In fact it is just problems with the websites host, but this doesn't make my job any easier!!!
Give me a pen and paper any day, but then I would get hand cramp so I dunno.....?

Next time your in Penang, go have your photo taken with the Bry0 piece and we will publish it online!

On another note, I have a visitor this week in the form of one of my oldest freinds, Edd! We went to school together, spent a lot of time listening to Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Tool then we discovered the free party scene and it has never been quite the same!

Edd is staying in the house next door as I am at work a lot but it means we can still hang out. On my day off, Edd, Chris and I went on a mission up to Haad Salad, sat on the beaches, chilled, ate noodle soup then went up to Ritual at Secret Mountain which was really good!
That place is the new hang out I reckon, definately going to go up there for a swim in the pool at sunset soon!

Edd has been spinning some vinyl at Tippy's place 'The Local Bar' and has been mixing for over 10 years so catch his interview up soon to learn more about him, the scene we grew up with and his thoughts on Phangan.

For now I will leave you with a photo of me and my best mate, just to put you off ya lunch ;-) !

Peace and Love, Bry0
