On February 8, at the meeting of the National Committee on Communicable Diseases, Mr Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health announced progress on the importation of the COVID-19 vaccine. Thailand is expected to receive the first lot of Sinovac vaccine from China, 2 million doses, in February, followed by the first lot from AstraZeneca. 61 million doses were purchased this year, and a combined 2 million doses of Sinovac means that Thailand will receive 63 million doses of the vaccine COVID-19 this year, which is considered to be comprehensive for the population overall. And he stated that the vaccine that came in was not only to be injected on Thai people but also foreigners at risk in Thailand.

However, from the previous, the Ministry of Public Health stated that Thailand will receive the vaccine from Atra Seneca before 50 thousand doses, but in today's meeting not discussions about it in any way.
Anutin also said that the situation of the outbreak in Samut Sakhon and Tak provinces must now be monitored.  After finding that the epidemic has increased and there are many foreign workers by introducing bubble & seal measures for factories that have found a lot of infection in factories will be with the separation of patients for treatment.

However, if the number of cases infected in those two areas is separated, the number of infected people is very low.  It is considered good control, leading to a relaxation measure that started on Feb. 1, if the number of infected people decreases.  Additional easing measures may be proposed for a large batch of CRCs to consider further.
