Thailand confirmed four new cases of coronavirus on Sunday, and no new fatalities, bringing the overall number of infections since January to 3,081 with 57 fatalities.

A spokesperson for the government's Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration said the latest patients have arrived in Thailand from the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia and have been under state quarantine.

Local diseases also accelerated and about 80 per cent of new cases over the last two weeks were Thais who had returned from abroad.

On Monday, the nation will begin reopening further businesses that are listed as low to high risk, including cinemas, gyms, spas and massage parlours.

Thailand has 10,500 spa and massage firms registered with the Department of Health Care Assistants. According to the CCSA, they will have 100,000 staff.

The deputy director-general department on Sunday said all operators are expected to strictly obey the agency 's guidance to deter potential pathogens when consumers use their services. "Service providers are allowed not to speak to clients. Talks just need to be conducted as appropriate," he said.

Another official in the department said that every week all massage and spa firms have to perform self-assessments and submit the reports to the Department.
