Justine Baruch from Colorado, USA is the facilitator for Tantra of Relationships at Agama happening next week…
Hi Justine, please explain the event...
Tantra of Relationships – In this workshop we define several guiding principles for a spiritual relationship. One is guided to take accountability for the life they are living and the relationships they are experiencing. And we bring awareness to how we can step more into presence, consciousness and love with ourselves and the ways in which we interact with others. This workshop helps us to improve all the ways in which we relate.
What do you think an individual can gain from your workshop?
We call upon models from the Tantric tradition, spiritual masters and psychology to build upon for a harmonious, spiritual relationship. We explore various tools for enhancing our awareness, overcoming our ego and going into the heart. We work towards being in the present moment and not getting lost in resentments of the past and fears or expectations of the future. We go deep into the true nature of love and strive to bring that into our relationships.
And what uniqueness will you personally bring to this event?
I live, read, listen, breath relationships. I am exciting about the various ways that people interact and what is moving us to be the way that we are. I am constantly studying these topics – reading books, taking courses, listening to lectures, counseling people, observing others – and my biggest teacher is my own relationship where all of this comes alive within me.
I have been blessed with wonderful, loving and harmonious relationships in my life and am able to identify and articulate some of the tools of how create such a relationship.
How long have you been practicing Yoga?
Yoga and Tantra since 2004
What is your area of specialty?
In your words, can you please describe this specific area...
My passion and practice is how to make each moment of our practice and path of awakening. I strive towards and encourage always enhancing our presence, awareness and love. Some of my practices are investigating the various beliefs that are guiding our lives and sinking deeper into ‘Who am I?’.
Relationships are a path for me for accessing devotion, love and mysticism. They awaken beautiful energies within me, that I rejoice in and transfer to the divine. Relationships are a profound way of being able to see ourselves and provide many opportunities for us to overcome our ego and step into unconditional love.
How did you get involved with Agama and how did you end up on Koh Phangan?
I started with Agama in the Indian branch in 2005. I feel in love with the Agama teachings and came to Koh Phangan 6 months later after going home to make enough money to stay away again for some time.
And tell us your Koh Phangan story...
I came here a wondering soul in 2006, having traveled the world for a couple of years, always looking for an adventure. I didn’t’ know if I would stay 3 months and I haven’t left for an extended period of time since I arrived on this island. I love the calmness and beauty of this island and grateful for the life I live.
