Happy Food, a charitable organization set up to provide food and basic necessities for people on Koh Phangan due to the current COVID-19 situation.

A community-based initiative to feed people who can’t afford to feed themselves in these difficult times, providing ingredients to those with kitchens, and cooked food to those without, on a daily basis.

This amazing project is being organized by Sontaya Saeyo, a former monk from Chaloklum in collaboration with other Thai community leaders, funded by donation with transparency oversight by foreign residents with business experience. The oversight team is led by Kittisak Norheim, a former captain in the UN peacekeeping forces.

Happy Food is now launching a crowdfunding campaign (Right Now!!), and could really (really!) do with your support.

In order to be able to provide two meals a day at 25 baht per meal for 2,000 people over 90 days, we need to raise 9,000,000‬ baht, to give an idea of the task ahead.

Although the island does not currently have known cases of the virus, the economic impact of the virus on border lockdowns and tourism will be felt for many months.

Please! Share this as widely as possible with your friends, family, and other groups. We are working closely with other organizations all over Koh Phangan, aspiring to ensure that no-one falls through the safety net.
