For those new to the world of scuba diving, you’re in safe hands. The team of experienced instructors will take you to the best local dive sites and guide you all the way. For the dive beginner, Phangan International Diving School offers PADI Discover Scuba Diving and PADI Open Water courses.
As an already qualified PADI Open Water diver, it’s time to take the next step into diving. Advanced divers are able to dive deeper to depths of 30m. Take the plunge into an advanced course and go deep diving, computer diving, night diving, underwater navigation diving and more.
The school is offering several begginer courses in the format of PADI's Discover Scuba Diving in different locations and lenghts.
Your Open Water license is the first level of diving certification – your ticket to exciting adventures in the underwater world. This license enables you to dive at destinations all over the world to a depth not exceeding 18 meters with a buddy who is also a certified diver.
The open water course is divided into modules consisting of video, academic sessions, training in confined water and four exciting open water dives. The schedule is flexible, but the course usually takes about 3-4 days. Don’t worry about being ‘rushed through’ a programme. The course is performance based, so you will have as much time as you need to practice your new skills before certification. Our class sizes are small, usually a maximum of 4 students meaning you will have your instructor’s undivided attention as you work your way through the programme.
once you’re a certified open water diver, what’s next? You can become a PADI advanced open water diver! GO DEEP! Get certified to dive to 30 metres with a buddy, gain confidence and experience in navigating your way around a dive site. Hone and perfect your diving skills while having fun.
This is one of PADI’s most challenging, fun and rewarding courses. You’ll learn to deal with diver emergencies and in turn become a better, more responsible and aware diver. You’ll be taught how to respond to other divers in distress and how to put together your own emergency action plan. This is an action packed course and lasts about 3 days including the emergency first responder course.
EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE COURSE
Many divers take the Emergency First Response courses to meet program prerequisites, such as PADI Rescue Diver, or as preparation for becoming a PADI Divemaster. However, most have also found the EFR program to be important in every day life. They have taken a significant step in emergency preparedness, and feel confident that they can provide care should an emergency situation arise.

ZERO TO HERO
Taking you from beginner to PRO. Zero to Hero courses lasts 6 months and takes you from Open Water diver level all the way up to instructor (if you have not yet acheived your open water license, please contact us for further details). We have several packages available all including equipment and accommodation, so everything is taken care of for you.
The PADI Divemaster course is the first step on the ladder of professional diving. Your ticket to employment opportunities all around the world. Divemasters get paid to go fun diving, assist PADI instructors on their courses & help certified divers hone their skills. PIDS offer packages with or without equipment & can also offer you dicounted PRO diving accommodation.
