Scooters are an easy way of getting around but are not a good idea if you are planning to drink. Try getting around the island like the locals do on aRod Song Taew’.

They are cheap, easy to use and of thoseonly in Thailandexperiences.

On the transport front, nothing beats sitting in the back of a Rod Song Taew with your mates saying Chai Yo with a Leo on your way to a full moon party.

Key tips
Scooters are great but factor in the risk and they should not be mixed with alcohol

Rod Song Taew are the backpackers main method of transport across the island
