Koh Phangan has always been known for its parties but lately we have witnessed and experienced a terrible new strain of virus associated with this called the ‘Party Virus’!
From what we know already the onset of this virus occurs after a 5 day stint of constant partying, symptoms begin with a rash, strangely neon in colour, hot to the touch and a bit flaky. People then start to feel dizzy and throw up, often not managing to get to the toilet in time!
You may then start to hallucinate and mistake strangers for friends and friends for strangers before insisting that you need to jump in the closest pool or ocean!
If you think that you or your friends have been hit by the ‘Party Virus’ we recommend letting it run its course, any attempt to force a person experiencing the virus to go to sleep or remain calm could result in an explosion of unexpected emotions or verbal abuse to those around you.
People who have caught the party virus are usually not a threat to those around them although they will feel a painful withdrawal once the virus has worn off.
For treatment of the withdrawal we recommend a good old fashioned sleep for around 12 hours followed by a full fried breakfast and a massage.
We hope you have all been warned in time, remember, to avoid catching the ‘Party Virus’ it is recommended to take regular breaks between parties or to not attend more than 4 in a row, good luck!
