We’re heading towards the end of the lowest low season, it has been a nice chilling couple of months on the island and although the Full Moon Party ALWAYS attracts tens of thousands of visitors for one week each month, those that are here for the constant do notice the difference compared to high season.
July is a nice month, it is still quiet enough but as of August things pick up again as the rest of the world take their Summer vacations, thus bringing more visitors to Koh Phangan.
If you are heading to the island to enjoy the Full Moon Party on July 10th you will indeed still be met with thousands of other smiling young faces who are here to do exactly the same as you, to mingle with people from other countries, to dance the night away like you never have before and to enjoy a hangover the next day which is made extremely better by the magical, tropical surroundings that the island offers.
July’s Full Moon is a good one. The island is still in its quieter phase in general yet will still be full of people to party with yet not too boisterous like in super high season of December and January when it can feel very claustrophobic in terms of tourists.
If you’re feeling yourself a bit ‘put off’ from hearing that it is ‘quiet’ on Koh Phangan then don’t be, sure, it is ‘quieter’ than High Season but when it’s time for Full Moon once a month there are always plenty of other people to party with, play beer pong with, tour the island and chill with.
In actual fact there is much to gain from coming to Koh Phangan when it is still in low season.
Not so many crowds yet still enough people, less traffic on the roads, more chance to meet people properly rather than being swept up in the crazy atmosphere and many other great reasons. So come and experience the end of the quiet times here on Koh Phangan before August brings a more hectic atmosphere!
