Social distancing is being recommended across the whole of Thailand. Koh Phangan is very quiet as most tourists have left and so it should be easy practice here but what exactly does it mean?

It includes things such as working from home if possible, travelling only when necessary, avoiding social venues, avoiding gatherings of large groups of people, restricting visitors; and, if you do go out in public, maintaining a safe distance from others - usually around two metres.

Since coronavirus is spread mainly through respiratory droplets (especially when people cough or sneeze), maintaining a bit of distance will help to decrease the spread of the virus.
social distance
Social distancing helps to stop the spread of the virus yet still allowing people to do essential day to day business such as work, food shopping and exercise.

It is being recommended that everyone stay home but we all know that it is also good to go for a walk and get fresh air so if you go to the beach or to the shop remember to  keep a safe distance from other people.

At this time please respect others, Thai culture and help stop the spread of the virus by trying not to come into close contact with other people.
