Baan Tai

What happen to the Haad Rin crowd when they get close to 30? They move to Baan Tai.
Ten minutes drive on a winding road separates the two beaches, as if representing the years that went by. The people in Baan Tai are a bit older, smarter and more sophisticated but they still like to party, only now they can pay for a better vodka, and appreciate a good beauty sleep.
A lot of them are career travellers who have seen it all and it is also favourite among long term foreigners who lives in the island, which make it a bit more friendly and cool. Every party which is not full moon and worth going is held in this area and it is also close to the various jungle parties.
The beach itself is peaceful and relaxed and the main road behind got restaurants and shops. It is also not too far from the island main city Thong Sala with its food market.
For the disillusioned who are not going to find their true love for the next 2 weeks on the island, there are many girls bars on the main road to Thong Sala, which are fun to hang out at even just for the occasional pool game with a lady boy.
