The government reported Wednesday that nine more citizens quarantined tested positive for the coronavirus after returning from overseas.
The new patients were two men returning from the US, a 34-year-old masseur returning from Qatar, and six students returning from Saudi Arabia, said Taweesin Visanuyothin, Center's spokesperson for the COVID-19 Situation Administration.
"The statistics of today indicate just those sent to State quarantine facilities," said Taweesin. "New domestic infections are not reported at this point."
The estimated cases of infection in the world reportedly stand at 3,054. As of Wednesday, hospitals treat 66 infected patients, while 2.931 patients have recovered.
