Activities were arranged for people in all walks of life today to celebrate the birthday of Her Majesty The Queen.

At the Grand Palace for the Queen, who turns 42 today, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and his wife Naraporn led the cabinet ministers to compose well-wishing letters.

A ranger in Narathiwat province's Cho Airong district is writing a well-wished letter on Wednesday's Queen's birthday occasion.

Even the Grand Palace opened for representatives of the royal family and dignitaries to compose letters to Her Majesty.

In other regions, the same practices take place in regional buildings, with the gatherings being conducted by provincial governors.

To mark the day, Pathum Thani released 200,000 fish into the Chao Phraya River as Governor Pinit Boonlert said it was one of the most significant days for all citizens in the Kingdom.

Volunteers dredged canals in all provinces and organized many events to celebrate this particular day.
