Thailand aiming to be global leader in cultivation and selling of quality rice and rice goods

Jurin Laksanawisit, deputy prime minister and minister of commerce, said the five-year Thai Rice Plan for the duration 2020-24 is ready. 

Prior to obtaining approval from the Cabinet, the plan drafted by a subcommittee would be introduced to a meeting of the National Rice Policy and Management Committee (NRPMC).

The goal is to render Thailand a global leader in the cultivation and selling of quality rice and rice goods in four areas: international selling; domestic marketing; processing and finished products; and rice developments.
