Thailand Covid-19 government update - April 17

An update from the Thai government regarding Thailand's #COVID19 situation, reporting from the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) at Government House.

HIGHLIGHTS:

 
  •    New cases = 28, deaths = 1, total cases = 2,700, total deaths = 47, and total cured = 1,689
  •    Nine provinces in Thailand have no reports of infected persons, while 27 provinces have had no reports of new cases in 14 days.
  •    The Government is in discussions with related agencies about the reopening of some establishments, for example, barbershops, department stores, and restaurants.
  •    Thailand is preparing facilities for Thais who will travel back from abroad. They will be in the state quarantine for 14 days.
