Wal Chirachaisakul is a painter and printmaker from and based in Bangkok, with three generations of artists in the family he talks fondly of those first memories of art. His father taught him how to draw a dinosaur and he was always drawing in class. Luckily an English teacher at school was impressed with his drawing of her in class and asked to keep it rather than getting him in trouble. This was just the beginning, he has won many awards for his work which has evolved since his university days. Working with concepts starting with the Self and involving the audience with his challenging yet outstandingly beautiful work.
Wal is now a father, he works with a happier mind and gives some great advice to painters.
