Easy as 1-2-3: make a hassle-free hop to Koh Phangan and further afield with 12go.asia ticketing service. Book the budget-friendly Raja ferry, high-speed Lomprayah catamaran or multimodal solutions in just a couple of clicks.
Fly’n’ferry
Whatever your starting point is, you cannot avoid the sea journey if you want to get to Koh Phangan. Alas, there is no airport on the island, and the nearest air haven is located on Koh Samui. Fly there directly from Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Pattaya or even Krabi and Phuket.
Good news: both Lomprayah or Seatran Discovery will whisk you to the Full Moon party hub from Koh Samui in 30 minutes or, to make things even smoother, opt for a combination ticket from Koh Samui airport to Koh Phangan. Neither Lomprayah nor Seatran is dirt cheap, but man, they are quick!
Rail’n’ferry
Need a budget-friendly alternative? Well, use night trains and slower ferries then, all bookable via 12go.asia. A classic journey would be to take train #85 from Hua Lamphong train station in Bangkok to Suratthani and grab Raja Ferry’s van & ferry transfer from the train station to Koh Phangan. Alternatively get to the pier at Donsak by yourself and hop onto the same Raja Ferry from there – it makes sense if you can get to the pier for less than THB200.
Bus’n’ferry – or rather ferry’n’bus!
Heading back to Bangkok after your crazy holiday on Koh Phangan but too – ...well – tired? Joint – wait! – joint tickets will help. Lomprayah’s ferry & bus transfer is what you need – in 12 hours and for 1250 baht you are in the heart of Khao San Road. Songserm does a similar job slower but cheaper, too.
Have we told you travelling with 12go.asia is easy? We have. And now you know why.
