Laure Siegel and Tom Vater are between them journalist, writer, publisher, correspondents and ex-pats based in Bangkok, Thailand.
They decided to come down to Koh Phangan for the COVID lockdown and also because Tom had an assignment for a travel book here, which unfortunately was cancelled.
Although sticking it out in paradise, as journalists they always find a story wherever they go and so have covered different parts of the situation from here on the island including initiatives set up here to help the community as it shows what is happening in the country in general.
After 4 months of being based on Phangan, we ask them their observations and also how they think the island will evolve in the future.
As a place that usually relies on international tourism, how will this change seeing as there are no inbound flights to the country being allowed for the near future.
