DJ Naq is back on the island after a tour in the US. His goal on this journey was to meet artists and exchange ideas, to work on new projects and especially to learn more about studio work.
He played at Jack House (Digital Memory Music Studios) & Global Mix Radio stations in New York and in Philadelphia his friend Soul Mob introduced him to the local scene. He also played at Gallery club in Miami and then he flew to Bogota (Colombia) to play in two clubs, the Doors and at Radio Berlin.
On his way back to Asia he had some gigs in KL, Malaysia, where he’ll be back on November for another tour.
With Dj AGENT at cha cha moon club - Koh Samui
Now he is resident at Cha Cha Moon Beach Club Party on Chaweng beach, Koh Samui and plays all around Koh Phangan in Jungle Experience, Loi Lay, Merkaba, Pirates Bar and Secret Garden just to name some…
Naq is now producing a track with Ron Kush and is working on 2 new pieces with Rob Gritton from Moon Island Records.
These tracks will be released on Billo Music label as well.
You are resident in Cha Cha moon club at Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui, tell us about the venue.
“It’s a place with a great atmosphere and it is fun to work there. The music selection, the sound system are excellent and the people who come here know about music!”.
“We are having a Party every Friday, it’s called YOU and it’s with resident DJ Darragh Casey + Guest DJ. We also have the party concept, Occupy Moon, with 4 parties a month on Full Moon, Black Moon and the 2 Half Moons (not on same nights as on Koh Phangan).”
What do you like to do on your free time?
“Best time spent is I going with my amazing new born baby girl, Izeline, to Lamai Beach or Lamai mountains and see the sunset together from the top of the hill."
Naq is happy to be back Thailand, and very excited about his residency at Cha Cha!
