This area is where you can find great restaurants and bars away from the hustle and bustle of Lamai and Chaweng. There are no lady bars or disco’s here. It's where you go when you want to go out but you just want a tranquil environment. It is very suitable for family or friend get togethers.
Apart from partying, theres night shopping in Bophut. Every friday the town hosts a walking street market where street vendors load up their stalls with goodies and the place is buzzing with shoppers and street performers. You’ll be able to find things like handbags, jewelry, 100-baht t-shirts, sunglasses and many more interesting items to serve as unique souvenirs. Even if you don't want to buy anything, it’s a lot of fun to go and look!
Another calm and relaxing spot is Maenam. The beaches here are well known for their peaceful tropical beachfront holiday style. If you want to get rid of the hustle and bustle at night, red-light or discos, this is where you want to go. There are great pubs for sports, pool games, and even sophisticated lounge bars in this part of the island.
