Just off the Ban Tai road on the way to Thong Sala is a little track on the left, this leads you to The Magic Wave (formerly Hard Road Villa). This place has seen massive changes in the last year and the owners Florian and Alice both originally from Belgium are putting a lot of love and effort into making their dream into a reality. They are one of the nicest couples you will meet, still very much in love and wonderful to be around, whether that be just for a drink, chat or joining them for a party!
This lovely couple tell us how they ended up on Koh Phangan,
"The first time we came to Thailand together was in February 2013. It was an " à l'aventure " with our backpack and a Thailand map. We were in Samui for Valentine's Day and it was raining a lot during the three long days we were there! We decided to contact some real estate agents and visit several villas and houses (just to past the time and...Dreaming :-))
But as soon as we arrived the next day in Phangan Pier with the boat, we directly fell in love, we both had a thunder blolt for this amazing island.
In one second, we knew that we were going to live and work here one day!".
Flo and Alice have travelled a lot and spent quite a bit of time in Ibiza. You can sit and chat to Flo for hours about music and they are both very into the music scene here on Phangan and elsewhere in the world. They have a unique high standard style, that still makes you feel extremely comfortable that comes across both from themselves and their business. Expect very good quality music from the bar (and occassional crazy pool party) and an extremely friendly service.
What is the inspiration behind The Magic Wave?
The Magic Wave is thirty metres from the beach, surrounded by nature, many plants, palm trees and a beautiful pool you can swim in 24/7 it’s "un petit coin de paradis".
Our slogan is very simple, you can sum it up in three words -
KITE - MUSIC and HAPPINESS
What are you current projects at The Magic Wave?
First of all, we only have dorms at the moment, we want to build double rooms.
Secondly, we will improve the place and build facilities for Kitesurfers and offer them a friendly place to stay which is dedicated to board & extreme sports.
And thirdy, Shhhh it's a secret, you will see
What do you say to people coming to Koh Phangan?
LIFE IS A PARTY , isn't it ?
