'If you love music you will never be alone in this world' - DJ Berny is coming to Jungle Experience!!

Hey Berny, so are you looking forward to coming to Koh Phangan?

Ciao Emma, yes I'm playing at Jungle Experience on the 15th of September, the gig is part of my Asia Tour 2016, it is thanks to my friend Marco Loco, I can't wait!

What have you been up to already this year?

This year I started to play once a month in Berlin clubs like Kosmonaut, Sisyphos, Suss War Gestern, Suicide Circus.

Berlin is still the best place in the world to play but I also had great gigs this summer in Santorini and in South Italy where there are really good and huge clubs.

You're playing Jungle Experience, what have you heard about it?

Some time ago a really good Dj friend of mine, one of best djs in Singapore, Dj Aldrin talked to me about this big party in the jungle. I was really surprised when I took a look at the videos and pictures from the party; I contacted Marco Loco immediately and the date was fixed. I am really happy and honored to play there, I'm sure it's gonna be a great party in the jungle!

What will you bring that is unique to Jungle?

I love to play Deep House but for this gig I will explore some really Underground and Deep/Tech/Tribe sounds, some really special tracks that come from my latest Berlin gigs, something that fits for me and to the late night party... in the middle of the jungle!

What are your main projects for the rest of the year?

After this Asia Tour I'll play in Berlin at Birgit & Bier and Sisyphos then in November I'm planning some dates in New York and Washington DC; later this year I'll play in Brazil and Lebanon, I am really excited about these upcoming gigs.

I'm also focusing on new tracks and collaborations, bringing out my new EPs on Spagat Music and Deeplomatic Recordings, stay tuned!

What would you say to aspiring Djs hoping to play around the world?

Young Djs have to rush to impose themselves; any good Dj has to do his years of playing because only time proves your skills.

It's important to know the music in general, to appreciate various genres, have an open mind, do research of tracks, labels and artists; you can distinguish yourself from other djs playings records that no one plays or playing well known tracks but in a different way, with your personal style, a good Dj is a mix of knowledge, musical taste and technique!

And leave us with your music philosophy...

Music is my lifestyle, every morning the first thing I do is listen to Pat Metheny, this is before doing breakfast; when I eat I listen to music, when I take a shower I listen music, in my house there are more stereo systems than windows.

Loving music, loving to dance connects you more easily to other people with the same tastes, you establish a special connection; the way people look at you when you play some records is something indescribable, if you love music you will never be alone in this world..
