Geoffrey discovered Koh Phangan for the first time two years ago by chance. He played at Loi Lay and it didn’t take him long to realise he had to come back.

It has been a busy week for Geoffrey Cravotta with gigs at Maya, Sramanora, Jungle Experience and Sandcastle to name but a few. He managed to squeeze in Phanganist to give us an insight into his career...

Where on Koh Phangan and other places have you played and how was it?
I really enjoy playing my music in Koh Phangan. This island is magical and you can feel a very special and amazing energy on the dance floors. I have had the chance to play in many different places such as Seaboard, Lost Paradise, Maya, Jungle Experience, Loi Lay, Merkaba, Lighthouse, Sramanora, Sandcastle, Peace & Love, Chill and Deep at Fisherman’s, Mountain Life, Jeff’s Monday at NB Café, Zen'zibar…

I play regularly in Koh Lanta in high season at Pangea Beach bar (my favorite place at Koh Lanta),  and others. And I have also played in Koh Phi Phi and Koh Tao in different bars. There is a good energy in all those places but my favorite island of all remains Koh Phangan.

What do you think of the Phangan party scene?
The Koh Phangan music scene is very wide and and there is many very good DJs with a large knowledge in music. More and more famous international DJs come and play here as well. This place has a lot of potential.

What do you think you bring to the Phangan scene?
I bring my musical culture which is pretty extensive since I have been DJing for over 20 years. I like to explore different kinds of electronic music but techno is my main influence.

What do you like to do in your free time here?
I like to spend quality time with my friends…discovering our delicious island everyday….What a pleasure!

How did you get to where you are today?
I left Belgium to travel for two years and work on my music. The original plan was to spend one year in Asia and one year in Central and South America. I wanted to start my trip by visiting a very good friend of mine (Jeff) in Koh Phangan. My intention was to stay for 3 months. Well, it turns out I put down roots and I have been here for almost a year now! Hahahaha!

Where do you see yourself in ten years time?
I live one day at a time !

What is your life philosophy?
Don’t dream your life, live your dreams.
