You are known to play Electro House, Melbourne Bounce, Trap, Twerk, R&B and Hip-hop.
Will Bangkok get to hear some of your Melbourne Bounce?

Yes definitely! I do play a variety of genres, all of which I genuinely love. I tend to mix it up a little depending on the vibe and the crowd on the night, but I am super keen in bringing some Melbourne flavour onto Bangkok’s dance floor! You will have to watch out for some Melbourne Bounce on the night!

You are going to play at Insanity Nightclub in Bangkok on Sep 18.
What are your thoughts about the night and have you played in Bangkok before?

I am super excited about it! This will be my first time playing in Bangkok. I have always heard so much about Bangkok’s nightlife and the music scene, people rave about it so much and some even call it the Ibiza of Asia. So it will be really interesting to check it out and to bring some of our Melbourne’s music to Bangkok.

What do you feel you can bring to the Bangkok scene?
I am sure Bangkok itself is famous for its club scene especially as they operate 7 nights a week! I believe every DJ has their unique sound including myself. I am very flexible with my music and of course it all depends on the crowd as well. So I am eager to show Bangkok how we Melbournians party! Expect the unexpected!

Do you have other plans to perform in Bangkok or in Thailand?
Not as to date besides my gig at Insanity Nightclub. I did receive an offer to play at another club in Bangkok in the same week but I had to give that up as both venues wanted exclusivity. It’s a pity! Hopefully I will be back sometime in the near future!

What projects are you currently involved with?
I am pretty flat out for the next few months with the local gigs in Melbourne and I am currently in talks with agents and organisers for one-off events, in particular New Year’s Eve parties so fingers crossed! I have a couple of radio interviews and shows in the coming months and more exciting news for next year!

What is the best thing you ever been involved with or done?
There are quite a few memorable moments, but I think the most memorable being my tour to New Caledonia over Halloween last year. Before that, I did not know much about the country besides the fact that it was a tropical island close to Australia. They have huge Halloween parties at Nouméa and they recently only brought the event there about 3-4 years ago. The event company collaborated with about 4 clubs over that weekend, so you can actually club hop from one to another on the same night. I was fortunate enough to be invited to play there and the people I met on the road were simply amazing. Their French accent is pretty sexy too haha! Everyone was very participative and dressed up according to theme. Venues went all out in their décor as well. Noumea is a beautiful small country. How great is that to have chalet-type clubs on crystal clear seawater and you can literally see dolphins swimming underneath? It was a wonderful experience close to beautiful Mother Nature.

How did you get to where you are today and what is your life philosophy?
I started DJing out of curiosity. I have always loved music and been open to many different genres of music, from the usual commercial hits to instrumentals, KPOP, Japanese R&B, jazz and even dubstep! I thought I could make full use of my passion for music. I still remember the first night that triggered my thought of picking up the art of DJing. I was at Pussycat Dolls concert and Havana Brown was the opening act. She did great at hyping the crowd and that made me wonder. Soon after, I managed to convince another friend of mine and we enrolled in a DJ course together and that’s when the journey begun. Six years later and after working countless late weekend nights, missing out on friends and families’ birthdays and weddings, working through all public holidays plus an intense and demanding day job, I am finally where I am today. I believe we will excel in anything that we are passionate about. There will be some sacrifices to make before we could achieve what we want. Music is simply amazing, it lifts your mood up and heals the soul. It is my little sweet escape!
