Notes on NOTE

Note was born in 1985 in a small town next to Bangkok Thailand.

Since he was young he has been a musician, starting his way as a drummer.

He came across the Psy Trance scene in the early 2000's and fell in love.
His first Psy Trance Djset was in 2002 at Fullmoon Party Koh Phangan!
From there he started playing as a resident and guest Dj in all the major parties and festivals in Thailand
Resident Halfmoon festival, Resident Fullmoon party, Guest DJ at Blackmoon Culture, Green Spirit festival 2004-2006, The Experience festival 2008-2012 and others..

Note began to produce his own music in 2006.
His tracks were released in several compilations and are currently available online.

Since 2008 Note is living in Israel.
He played in the famous Moksha Indigo festival 2009 & 2010 and is playing in Psy Trance parties around Israel.

2011 he had his first Europe Tour and in 2012 his second tour where he played in Cosmic Circus Switzerland, VuuV Festival 2012 Germany.

NOTE is now on his Thailand tour from December 2012 to March 2013!

He was Trancing for the Experience Festival at New Year on Koh Tao and serving Super Progressive Tones on Half Moon in December and Januray.
He has been playing at Moon Mountain in Kanchanaburi, at Ban Sabaii and many more places this time around!

"NOTE" a Psy Trance Producer and a DJ. Born in Bangkok and living in Tel Aviv.

Note, you were born in Bangkok. What is your connection to Phangan?
I started playing Psytrance music in 2000 in Bangkok, there I met Dj Sabaii Sabaii and he told me about the Psytrance scene in Koh Phangan and I decide to go and see for myself.

Arriving to Koh Phangan he fell in love with the island, the parties and the people!
He started coming every month to play at Full Moon Party at Tommy Bar and in 2002 he met Jao aka Dj Tripical and moved to live in Koh Phangan.

Here Note joined the Harmony Team that later became The Halfmoon Festival that we all know until now...

You were playing at the Experience Festival for the New Year on Koh Tao.
On Koh Pha Ngan you have been playing at the Black Moon, Ban sabaii and Half Moon, many times this time around. 
Which style do you prefer to play when you play on Phangan?
Under the name "NOTE" I play and produce Fullon Psychedelic Trance.

That’s my style of choice but this year I have also started a side project with Tripical called "TRIPICAL NOTE" we produce and play Progessive Psytrance.

On Half Moon Festival - Our Guitar Hero Lars Lee and NOTE - were teaming up behind the decks.

Do you play your own produced tracks only or do you mix other DJ’s into you sets?
My set is a combination of my own produced music mixed with other artist’s tracks and some special remixed along with live editing and live produced sounds.

Is it different from what you would play in Bangkok or Tele aviv?
No it’s not different.
It is My Own style and I stay true to it everywhere I play.

NOTE gets his inspiration from places he travel, people he meet, the music he is listening to and especially from the energy and vibes on the dance floor.
He is currently living in Tel Aviv and he is married to a Sweet Israeli woman, Dina.

The best thing he ever did - besides finding his wife ofcourse - was to get the chance to enter the Psytrance scene in Koh Phangan, because that’s where it all started he says!

You have been commuting between Bangkok and The Islands here since you arrived for the Experience Festival. What is your connection to the Bangkok Scene?
The trance scene in Thailand is not as big as it seems and there is a close connection between Bangkok and Koh Phangan in terms of Trance culture.

Koh Phangan has and will always have a special place in his heart!

This is where he grew up and as person and as and artist and he truly believe this is one of the best places on Earth!

His favourite place is Ban Tai area! This is where all the magic happens he says.

He is not a a big future planner but surely hopes to continue doing what he is doing for the next 10 years. 
Other than that he cannot guess what the future will bring yet.
    
He does know though, that for now he will be staying on Phangan until April!
