When arriving at Koh Phangan this will be the very first place you see and walk on to. Unless you come in to Haad Rin pier but most come into Thong Sala!
This pier is centrally located at Koh Phangan’s main town area and you will either be met with your lift from your resort or you can get one of the many taxis from the car park.
The pier operates different ferry companies such as Lomprayah, Raja, Seatran and Songserm as well as the local Night Boat.
Located at the pier you will find a large waiting area and this is also where you can get your boat tickets from the different offices inside. Tourist Police also have a desk there in case you have any queries, they speak good English as well as Thai.
If you need to go to the mainland then you will need to go from this pier, Raja ferry which is larger goes to Donsak near Surat Thani. There is a Raja that also goes to Koh Samui if you need to take anything large or to take your scooter across.
If you visit the pier at night you will find local fishermen also hanging out here and youngsters, it is quite nice to sit and watch the goings on in the evening when it is quiet compared to the hustle and bustle of the daytime at the island’s busiest pier.
