The Ministry of Public Health (Ministry of Public Health) prepared to present academic information on reducing the quarantine days in the surveillance of COVID 19 from 14 days to 10 days into consideration by the COVID 19 Situation Center. (F.C.) small series in the coming weeks. The pilot began in low-risk countries first.

Dr. Kiattaphum Wongrajit, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health (Ministry of Public Health), had previously interviewed that the first phase may reduce the COVID-19 detention day from 14 days to 10 days.
After about 1 month in progress, it will be assessed. If the situation is still managed well, it will consider reducing the number of days.

However, the number of detention days will be different depending on the risk level of the country of origin. If it is a very high-risk country, it still needs to be quarantined for the next 14 days. Low-risk countries may go down, which the lowest target is 7 days.

“High-risk countries look at the history of the detection rate of COVID-19 among people who have come to quarantine in the past. Which reflects that the country still has high levels of infection in the country. As for China, through which the detained people were not tested, the infection was detected Considered low risk, the infection in the country is not high, ”said Dr. Kiatphum.

Dr. Sophon Iamsirithaworn, MD. Director of Division of General Communicable Diseases Said that the situation of COVID-19 in a state-designated quarantine facility from April-15 October 2020, in which people entering Thailand must go to quarantine for 14 days and have at least two tests for infection.

Currently, 116,219 people have traveled and infected 728 people, representing 0.63% or about 200 people have been infected with 1 person.

The rates are different for each country of origin some countries once entered have the highest infection rates, the top 5 being Kuwait 293 arrivals, infection rate 17.75%, South Sudan arrived 269 people, infection rate 14.87%, Saudi Arabia arrived 743, infection rate 7.94%, Sudan arrived 500, infection rate 5% and Pakistan arrived 381, infection rate 4.72%.

While in some countries, the infection rate was at least five, including China entering 2,426 people with 1 infection, infection rate 0.04%, Hong Kong inbound, 1,883 infected, 9 people, infection rate 0.48%, Taiwan arrived, 5,581 infected. 2 infected people, infection rate 0.04%, Australian arrivals 3,906 people infected with 4 people, infection rate 0.10%, and New Zealand. Dr. Thanarak Praiphat, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Disease Control (Kor.) Previously said that Suppose, if in quarantine for 7 days, the number of patients who will show symptoms after the quarantine date.

The high-risk countries, every 1,000 people in that country are infected with one person, such as some cities in China have not been infected for more than 200 days.
So the total population of China is estimated at 1 billion people.

It is estimated that if more people were infected there would be many.

If traveling to Thailand for 100,000 people with a 7-day quarantine date, about 0.2 people will show symptoms after the quarantine date, but if entering 1 million people will find 2 people.

A moderately vulnerable country is that every 10,000 people in that country are infected with one person.

If traveling to Thailand one hundred thousand people, about 2 people will show symptoms after the quarantine date.

If entering 1 million, will find 20 people. In high-risk countries, every 1,000 people in that country are infected with one person.

If traveling to Thailand 100,000 people, there will be about 20 people who will show symptoms after the quarantine date.

if entering 1 million people will find 200, and in a very high-risk country, every 100 people in that country are infected with one person.

If traveling to Thailand 100,000 people, there will be approximately 200 people who will show symptoms after the quarantine date, if entering 1 million, there will be 2,000 people.
