Plan to recover the wreck of the sunken Raja ferry in Koh Samui

The Raja 4 Ferry Operation Team are preparing to survey the boat and the surrounding area in a plan to salvage the wreck.

It was initially estimated that it will take 3-4 weeks to recover the boat, while the other two relatives of the missing people are still waiting for hope.

M.S. Service Co. was the company hired to recover the wreck of Ferry Raja 4. This includes the three garbage trucks and 90 tons of garbage still in the sea.

After strong waves, the Raja boat capsized on August 1st, away from Raja Ferry Pier in Lipa Noi Subdistrict of Koh Samui.

A team of divers are preparing to explore the ship to bring information to be able to plan the salvage of the wreck at the end of this month, it will take 3-4 weeks to make the plan.

However, the mission of the team of divers had to be postponed at first due to the strong wind waves. The family of Mr Tiwakorn Watchararit, 18 years old, who is still missing are hoping to see their son again as they believe he is stuck in the wreck. Also, Mr Chai Chan Laosap, a ten wheel driver is still missing.
