The Full Moon Party was another busy success, businesses thrived, beds were booked, beers were drunk and thousands of young people partied the night away on the soft sands of Haad Rin.
People are partying in the moment, meeting excited new faces from all around the globe and like any party or festival every where on the planet there is going to have to be a clean up the next day.
The transformation of Haad Rin beach from the monthly party back to its calm tranquil natural state is somewhat magical, it happens so quickly as the last revellers are leaving, some still there enjoying the morning vibes even.
There is a big team who tackle the cleanup of the beach with the help of machinery which clears the sand. The bottles are sorted for recycling and a lot of effort is put into getting it done as quickly as possible so as to not let rubbish go out into the ocean.
As you see from our photos taken just 2 days after the July Full Moon Party, Haad Rin Beach is back to its beautiful self and it is great to see that young people are relaxing there, staying longer than for just the one night of the party, getting to see Koh Phangan in a more relaxed way.
You would never even know that a huge party had happened there just some hours before.
We hope that more and more people will begin to be more aware of unnecessary waste such as plastic straws and one use items, there is always room for growth and improvement in these issues but let us not forget the incredible effect this party has had on the island of Koh Phangan and the joy it brings to thousands of people from all over the world.
