What is your Koh Phangan story?
I have lived here now for one year but actually came for the first time in 1993 - 94 during my first travels.

Since then I have lived in Europe and Goa, came back to check it out and fell in love again with the place so decided to stay.

So what was Phangan like when you first came?

Oh wow amazing, it was mostly just Haad Rin and the beach around it, there were no roads, just walking and palm trees, nobody had a bike.

It already had some parties, Full Moon and Backyard, it was more hippy with more backpackers, not like a holiday place.

So what keeps you here even though it’s changed?
It has changed but it didn’t lose it's magic, there’s still some hippy vibe, a bit of an underground feeling and alternative people still here.

It’s natural, clean, beautiful and of course has the party scene keeping a fresh and alternative feeling, I love it.

Ok, so what got you into mixing?

I am Israeli and since the Goa Trance music scene had started, Israel has been a pioneer of the scene, it already had Goa Parties in 1992 so I heard the music and loved it.

We had wonderful nature parties and events in clubs so I just got into it and played my first gig in ‘93 in a club in Tel Aviv.

Then I went on my big trip to Thailand and India, India had the leading Goa Trance scene at the time so I naturally got more into it and started playing in Goa and later in Europe.

How do you wish people to feel during a set?
Oh euphoria, goosebumps…

What are your music influences?
Everything that is minimal and progressive from all genres.

You are part of Magic Phangan Records, tell us about this…
I have been part of it since the beginning of my trip to Koh Phangan, shortly after I arrived I joined the team.

We do many Ban Sabai parties and Magic Phangan Records is involved with Blackmoon and The Experience Festival.

How do you see the Trance scene on Koh Phangan at the moment?
Actually it’s growing very nicely, I think that people want to feel an underground feeling when they are in Phangan, they don’t want to hear exactly what’s in clubs at home and of course Goa Trance is still underground in its nature.

Even at the parties that play all kinds of music like House and Techno, there’s still a place for Trance, usually at the end, that’s when it goes wild ...

So what are your music projects for this year?
I’m getting again into producing after years, I didn’t do this as I have not been in one place, this is the longest I have been in one place in years so I feel it could be the right time to get back into it. We have a great studio at Magic Phangan and other than that I will be doing more of the same, playing everywhere as much as possible.

What do you do when you’re not playing?

I do some web designing and development so this keeps me busy between gigs and I enjoy this beautiful paradise tropical island.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
I see myself here, I just want to stay here, I feel that I have found my place.

After more than a decade of moving around the globe it will be nice to stay here as a base.

And what would you say to young djs?

Stay true to yourself, to your taste. Be professional and most importantly, look at the people.

Leave us with your life philosophy…
Think for yourself, follow your dreams, live in the moment and see the big picture.
