High season is beginning to drift away, slowly like a leaf in the wind, things will start winding down on koh Phangan.
But do not let that put you off! For a lot of us residents on the island it is a time when we can enjoy the reasons why we live here, not for the parties and the crowds but for the beauty, the interesting people, the nature and the energy.
Parties still happen of course, the full Moon party is ALWAYS on once a month but the smaller parties seem a little more quiet but it does not make them any less interesting!
Use this as an opportunity to have your space to dance, you’re not squashed, elbows a go, trying to move but instead you can express yourself even more.
You can meet the individuals on the dancefloor, be more personable and make friends as always.
The djs will never stop playing the best in their music that’s for sure!
The best thing about the island getting quieter is that it is safer (as long as you are aware) and calmer on the roads and in general anywhere you go.
Those beautiful tranquil beaches really will be tranquil and not packed with people.

You can drive around and explore each and every single corner and nugget of this crystal southern Thai island, gasp at the untouched jungle and breathtaking views as you drive through the mountains.
Get to know the locals, the lady you get your fruit shake from at the side of the road and her family, talk to people, take your time, there is no rush…
Enjoy the low time, the peace, the people and have fun.
