Saving the Reef with CORE sea Koh Phangan

During this time of Covid-19 divers have more free time to help clean the ocean and dive sites.

Together with DMCR, CORE sea, Dive Schools and volunteers got together to clear a huge fishing net that had got stuck on a reef of Koh Tae Nok, a usually popular dive site.

The net has a lot of lead in it which must be quickly removed as it is dangerous, the lead is kept to be melted and sold or used again.

All of the pieces of net are gone through to remove any creatures, fish or coral which are thrown back to the ocean.
