Oh it’s that time of year again, the one where a thousand facebook posts will come alive about ‘proposals’, some in Paris by the Eiffel tower, some on a beach and some in that random strange place where a couple met.
Photos will appear of those ever so perfect couples, declaring their love for each other for the one millionth time and posts from disgruntled singletons who get depressed because they’re alone.
According to history.com ‘Approximately 150 million Valentine's Day cards are exchanged annually, making Valentine's Day the second most popular card-sending holiday after Christmas’.

Valentine's day history is shrouded in mystery but it seems to stem from a Pagan Festival (as with many other holidays) which was to celebrate fertility, but also is a Roman tradition also.
Valentine's day has also become popular amongst the young generation of Thai’s, shopping malls are dedicated with gifts for the day and as you can see in our 7/11’s, they have a dedicated shelf for the day of love.
But what if you’re single?
Well fear not! We’re here for you!
Love is a very special thing, we celebrate those who are madly in love but also we celebrate those that are not.
Be in love with yourself, be in love with your friends and be in love with your family!
Don’t be sad if you don’t have a boy or girlfriend, husband, wife or partner (or more…). Valentine's day doesn’t really matter that much! Enjoy the wonderful beauty of Koh Phangan and be in love with this paradise. Everyday should be about love!
