So, Yep, been to Penang again. I love Penang, I always wish I had longer there really. Yes the journey is truly uncomfortable but once you get there you are greeted by the friendly locals and the BEST food!
Most of you know Jim, either from using his visa service or just because you hung out at his place whilst you were there. Of course I stayed at Jim's place, it seems that Linda and myself get 'special treatment' as he is a fan of Phanganist so thank you Jim!
After the long journey it is pretty hard for even the most active of us to find the motivation to do anything around town but after a bit of morning work I thought I would pop by and see my friends at the car park where I painted a quick piece last time I was there.
Chidi and the gang were slowly gathering and remembered me straight away. They asked if I was going to paint again and of course I told them 'yes!'. They said that everytime they look at what I did before it reminds them of me, aaaw sweet.
I went to the same shop to buy a bit of paint, Mr Wong remembered who I was right away also even after only meeting him one time before which is super cool! I wish I remembered everyone's names after the first meeting!!
So, back I went to the Car Park where I was given some nice rice to eat and a drink and proceded to paint something on their wall.
A new addition to the car park crew was their new 'mascot', a kitten. They told me it had just appeared from nowhere and they had started to feed it some of their food so it has become part of the family.
Although they can't buy fish anymore to eat because the kitten only likes chicken ha-ha.
One day it will be good to go with a few more painters and really make this car park beautiful, they are such a friendly bunch and just appreciate you doing something nice for Penang.
I'm glad to be back on Phangan, to hear the birds and breath the fresher air but always remember to make the most of any trip!
Oh and say 'Hello' to the car park crew next time you're in Penang.
