News From The Shoes Youtube Channel Interview with Carey

News from the Shoes is Carey, Josua, Hailey, and Maxwell Shoemaker. In 2020 they sold everything they owned, quit their apartment and booked one-way-tickets to Koh Samui, Thailand. 

The plan was to stay for three months but because of the lockdown, the family will be living there for at least a year. They will be studying Thai at a language school in Samui while working remotely and exploring this beautiful island with their kids. 

We speak to Carey about their unique situation and how their Youtube channel had a welcome influx of viewers because of this. They hope through their channel to give a voice to the locals and promote Koh Samui in an enjoyable and positive way.
