The Shore is located off of the Chaloklum Road in Maduwan and is fairly new at only 2 years old.
The whole place is open plan and sits on 5 rai of land, it’s spacious and in the middle of beautiful jungle, surrounded by coconut trees with the relaxing sound of water coming from the river which runs through it.
Owner of The Shore is Khun Supawadee Phengkaew who comes from Chumphon.
She originally moved to Koh Phangan in 2007 where she was working in the Koh Phangan Municipality and then started at The Shore in 2015 when it opened.
The Shore boasts 4 different types of accommodation from standard rooms of which there are 15, 7 superior rooms, 6 family villas with kitchen and 4 pool villas.
Family villas sleep four people and have one double bed and a twin room with a small kitchen and balcony. Pool villas have a kitchen, double bedroom their own small swimming pool.
The Shore is a relaxing and quiet resort which offers calm in amongst the jungle with a beautiful large pool at its centre.
The Shore welcomes visitors from outside of the resort to use the pool and eat in the restaurant where they can also enjoy Happy Hour for drinks including cocktails, beer and soft drinks.
It is located ten minutes to Thong Sala and ten minutes to Chaloklum so sits right in the middle of the two ends of the island, guests can shop in Thong Sala and also relax in the fishing village of Chaloklum.
The river which runs through comes from Koh Rah and has many fish in the it which Supawadee Phengkaew takes care of herself, the location offers a perfect get away from the noise of life with also a nice design which mixes traditional Thai with modern and new elements.
The Shore was named after ‘Mr Shore’ Supawadee Phengkaew’s husband, they decided it was a very apt name because of the ‘shore of the sea’.
