Black Rat is a high quality English cider, made from only freshly pressed apples grown locally in Somerset UK and then… well, they just let the apples do their stuff!
The result was a great tasting premium cider with a strong brand image to compliment their award winning Moles Ales. It took a week to get the recipe right but what a week!
Black Rat Cider was born in March 1998 and has been going from strength to strength ever since!
Where does the name come from?
Well, this is a closely guarded secret known to few but discussed by many. Only the original development team knows the whole truth. When you're next in the UK, if you can track them down, buy them a pint, they may tell you!
