DJ VITAMINE on Koh Phangan

DJ VITAMINE joins us for a chat about playing on Koh Phangan and how the scene compares to his native Portugal. He began his career in the early nineties, as a resident at Café Bagdad after hours, having consolidated this activity in several clubs throughout the country, such as Alcântara-Mar in Lisbon, Rocks in Porto, News in Cascais or the Hit Club in Póvoa do Varzim, and basically all main clubs in Portugal.

In 2011, was released his famous single "Lonely Nights" with lyrics and vocals of Johanna, which was heard on the radios and was released through Kontor Records in Germany, which launched it to the world. The following year, he started the project Sunsets @ Bar do Peixe - Meco by Vitamine, linking the beach and music, where he provided unforgettable moments, leading it to be considered one of the best sunsets in the country, consecrated through a compilation on CD "Bar do Peixe mixed by Vitamine".

In 2015, he was invited to be the Waikiki’s music programmer at Praia da Sereia (Costa de Caparica), a function that he kepps doing with pleasure, as well as sharing the line-up with top national and international DJs such as Todd Terry, Green Velvet, Dave clark, Steve Lawler, Etienne de Crécy, Matias Aguayo Dj Rush, D-Nox, Alexander Technique, DJ Vibe, Chus & Ceballos, Gramatik, dOP, Santé, Diego Miranda, Leon, Timid Boy, Moullinex, among many others.

Considering music, a way of life where he’s always learning, DJ VITAMINE intends to continue launching original themes and to motivate the smiles of the public, through the cabin that is already his house, where he receives with sets that tell stories of friendships and create moments.
