Phangan Community Garden ไร่วิถีพงัน [pronounced “Rai Witi Phangan”] is a community co-operative farm growing food for people in need on Koh Phangan.
OUR LOVE FOR KOH PHANGAN
These past months shook up everybody's lives. Local Thais, Burmese, and Internationals on the island have all been affected. In all this we simply feel #united by the #love for this island, our desire to #reconnect to #nature and our #duty to care about each other. We share the motivation to shift the island towards a more sustainable future.
WHAT WE DO
We build a farm TOGETHER, simultaneously growing an #amazing #community of people from all backgrounds. We show our love and care through #bridging #knowledge from all over the world, across cultures and languages, working together to #farm and #harvest the precious soil that grounds us. Whether your strength lies in planting, composting, construction, social media, project management, design, or the like, everyone who seeks to offer his or her special expertise, or simply a set of #helpinghands is welcome! By joining forces in this quest, we are able to build a project filled with kindness, education and fun.
SHARING IS CARING
Digging into the incredible melting pot of knowledge and expertise of people from all kinds of backgrounds, we find common ground in the philosophies of King Rama 9. We envision our community garden as a place where people come together to #connect, both with nature and each other. We share #food, #work, #exchange #knowledge, learn from each other, #bridge #cultures and #languages and enjoy great moments of fun in doing so!
