Every restaurant and cafe on the street or in a village will open their doors for happy New Year!

Food, drinks, entertainments and parties will be blasting on the streets all day and continue into the night!!

The Most Crazy Funny way of Celebrating the New Year in Big Mass Water Fights Everyone against everyone!

Come and take part of the Fun Madness where ever you are on Phangan. Every village, resort or beach will create a New Year event to join!!

On Thailand New Year's Day, the Thais will pray to the Buddha, clean temples and houses, offer alms to the monks and sprinkle scented water on elders as a mark of respect.

The pouring of water symbolises the cleansing of the spirit, mind and body.

The water is also supposed to wash away bad luck - so consider yourself blessed if you get drenched!

Luckily and Happily Songkran falls during the hottest time of the year and cold water sprinkles are a welcome relief.
