Who is Kaiser Souzai ?
Making concrete waves throughout the Berlin underground and carving a reputation internationally with their live performances, popular event nights and taste-making record label, Berlin duo, Kaiser Souzai are an unstoppable force within the industry. What began as a music collaboration, has now become much more than that with the creation of their own musical genre of Art-rock Tech, drawing influence from 70's greats such as Pink Floyd, Genesis and Yes, yet still keeping to their roots of deep and progressive techno, electrifying dancefloors across the globe.
The duo put themselves on the electronic map initially with releases such as 'Girl', which became a huge summer tune in 2006 with it's Pulp Fiction samples, and their Cloud series, 'Altocummulus Floccus', 'Stratocumulus' and 'Cirrus'. Remixing for Booka Shade's 'Love Inc' on Blaufield and Dave Seaman's 'Everything Comes in Threes' on Tulipa Recordings, alongside signature releases on Kinetika, Trapez and Definitive Recordings to name only a few, not to mention support from the likes of Sven Vath, Joseph Capriati, Steve Lawler plus many more, the last few years has seen Kaiser Souzai build a unique brand representing and creating that art-rock niche which has had critical reception from all over. Always regularly featuring in the electronic top 10 of various portals, the duo has further solidified their name with the creation of Ballroom Records, a label which has grown from strength to strength with a taste-making roster that puts out some of techno's best new music alongside vibrant label nights that keep giving and giving.
And now, having worked their way up the Berlin club scene and emerged into international waters, Kaiser Souzai have introduced their live performances to the world. Each live show incorporates Kaiser Souzai's never-ending energy, showcasing their talents as musicians with live electronic percussions in front of an eagerly awaiting crowd. 2014 & 2015 saw them travel from Belgium to Australia, Thailand to Berlin, gigging at the likes of Womb (Tokyo), Uberhaus (Beirut), Forsage (Kiev), Sullivan Room (NYC), Jungle Experience (Koh Phangan), Circus (Melbourne) and Rhythm & Alps (New Zealand), with the end of their New Zealand tour seeing them headline the Techno Stage alongside the legendary Carl Cox. As well as gracing the stages of Earth Festival in Australia, and the Nation Of Gondwana festival in Germany - they've shot through the Berlin circuit of Sisyphos, Tresor, Wilde Renate... illustrating their raw passion of dark tech and loaded electronica along the way.

LEGEND is a word frequently used by people when they talk about Graham Gold-one of the most influential and ground-breaking DJ’s on London’s Kiss 100. 5 years in the DJ Mag Top 40, when it truly meant something, over 700,000 mix albums sold (6 x Gold Discs- British Phonographic Institute Artist) and has played in clubs and festivals in over 150 cities across 50 countries including Glastonbury, Homelands and Summadayze
Fast forward to 2018, and whilst those heady days of global travelling are gone, he still remains very much a recognised name in the industry. He plays his deep house, progressive house, melodic techno and tech house at most of the parties on Koh Phangan, Thailand where he now lives including Guys Bar, Eden Garden, Loi Lay, Maya, Addict and Lighthouse. He is also one of the Headliners for the 5 Senses Festival, taking place in February 2019, alongside Behrouz, Thomas Schumacher, Einmusic and Supernova.
Recent productions and remixes on Coldharbour, Moon Island, Souled, Bequem, Krafted, Endemic, Jungle Funk and P&S Music have helped cement his transition from a world-famous trance DJ into a cool underground house/techno DJ. His latest production, alongside Jourdan Bordes, called ‘Spulig’ (German for trippy!) is due in April on the rather large Dynamica label, and many more will follow through 2019
Graham previously ran the Koolworld, Peach and Good:As record labels where he took numerous tracks from the underground and turned them into commercial successes. One of his biggest singings was Mat Darey’s ‘Liberation”’ which made the UK Top 20. Good:As also managed the UK & Ibiza diaries of Armin, Tiesto and Ferry Corsten from 1998-2001. He was also a sought after TV presenter and hosted the clubbing TV show ‘BPM’ which aired on the UK’s number one commercial channel as well presenting a few shows from WMC for MTV.
Graham has been a DJ his whole life and lived through disco, soul, jazz funk and was there at the beginning of the house music phenomenon. In 1985-1986 after years on London’s Pirate radio stations he presented the soul show on London’s Capital FM ahead of his move to Kiss 100FM. His real ‘craft learning years’ were at Gullivers in London’s Mayfair from 1980-1989 where he played 6 nights a week, 7 a hours a night to the capitals movers, shakers and the biggest artists in black music. It’s no wonder clubbers and the whole industry call him a legend! He is to be found in the global online dictionary WIKIPEDIA.
