There must be something special about an imprint that has appealed to so many djs and dancers all around the world.
Founded by Andre Crom in 2008, OFF Recordings grew into one of the leading underground house labels of today, becoming one of the "Top-10 most charted labels of 2012" of Resident Advisor, and sometimes residing in Beatport's "Deephouse Top 100" with 10 tracks at once.
OFF's music is accessible while rooted in the underground. Oscillating between different shades of deep and tech house, OFF does not stand for one specific style. But there are certain values that are common to all OFF releases:
A stripped back approach.
A focus on the essence.
Memorability.
OFF is represented by a strong group of core artists, mostly but not exclusively based in Berlin, supported by guest releases from some of the most respected names of the scene.
Besides the record releases, OFF Recordings has been hosting numerous label nights all across Europe and the world in clubs like Watergate, Kater Holzig, Sankeys Ibiza, Cafe d'Anvers, and showcases at festivals like ADE, BPM or Sonar.
2014 will start with an extensive "5 Years OFF Tour", featuring appearances of all core artists in leading venues spread all over Europe; as well as some truly exciting releases which will expand the label's musical horizon in unexpected and exciting ways.
