It can be quite exhausting to reach the Buddhist temple in the south of Koh Phangan. But the small hike up the mountain is worthwhile.
What you ́ll find is a silent place of peace and spirituality, a holy place for Buddhist monks right in the middle of Koh Phangan.
Regular yoga and meditation retreats make this place a pilgrimage for people from all over the world. They come to see the lying buddha-statue or even the footprint of the Buddha!
But whatever the reason for your visit is, the view is gonna be worth it! Sit down for a second and enjoy the view over the jungle and the sea. Let your eyes enjoy the wide of the horizon. This place is magical. It doesn't ́t necessarily impress through it ́s huge and embellished temples, but definitely through it ́s atmosphere and aura. And here it scores twice. Make sure you pay it a visit.
