Here we are with you again regarding second part of adventure in discovering southside of Koh Phangan! We will continue with Baan Tai.
Baan Tai falls between the vivid Haad Rin and the ‘main town’ of Koh Phangan; Thong Sala.
Baan Tai, in general, is a fun, party centre of Koh Phangan. On the main road between Haad Rin and Thong Sala, you can find many nice and cheap Thai and Western restaurants, different types of shops, various interestingly decorated clubs on the seaside and of course Baan Tai beach with its photographic combination of white sand, rocks and coconut palms.
‘The resorts are spread out and the road is some distance from the coast. It is not a wide beach. Moreover there is a coral reef about 200 meters from the coast. This means that during the low tidal seasons (May to October) the water is shallow until the reef. It is great to paddle in but you have to go a little further for swimming.
Near the centre of Baan Tai Beach is a small pier where you can organise boat transfers or fishing trips. On both sides of the pier are some great stretches of beach. During the windy months Baan Tai becomes the best place for kiteboarding in Koh Phangan. So if you like to party at night and do extreme sports during the day Baan Tai is the ideal destination’.
When talking about Baan Tai, it is a must for us to remind you of the bigger parties organised in this area: Half Moon Party, Jungle Experience, Black Moon Culture, Loi Lay and Shiva Moon.
You can also find other parties nearly every week here and try out plenty of bars according to your taste; bars with live music, beach bars, small local bars etc.
